Citra Cabernet Sauvignon (2008)

Description:

Citra is one of Italy’s foremost wine producers. The Abruzzo region on central Italy’s eastern coast is a relatively unspoiled landscape perfect for grapevines which have thrived for over a millennia.

Grapes for this Cabernet are harvested from hillside vineyards in the province of Chieti, in central Italy’s coastal. The hand-picked grapes are vinified employing traditional methods and macerated for 15 days at a temperature of 77°F. After decanting into stainless steel tanks, the wine spends a short period in oak barrels before bottling and release.

this wine is intense ruby red. Rich fruit aromas with notes of black pepper. Round and full on the palate, with balanced tannins and a pleasant, lingering aftertaste. Enjoy with grilled meats, roast turkey, barbecue and hearty vegetarian fare.
