Description:
A wine with an interesting story. Argentina is widely known for its Malbec while Tannat is widely considered to be the national grape of neighboring Uruguay which has its own wine history. Quara is produced by the renowned Felix Lavaque Winery in Cafayate Valley, 5000 feet above sea level.
Today, the fifth generation of the Lavaque family carries on the winemaking tradition. Francisco, a graduate of the Viticulture and Enology program at UC Davis, draws on more than a century of his family’s experience and combines it with the latest in winemaking technology to craft a wines with finesse and character.
An inky black wine with a subtle but powerful bouquet that rewards your patience with layers of rich smoky black fruits highlighted by notes of mocha and spice. Rich, full-bodied and complex on the palate with peppery fruit flavors and firm ripe tannins. Long lasting and velvety en finale.
